A free tool that finds the credit card that earns you the most rewards — based on how you actually spend.
Securely connect via Plaid (read-only access) or export transactions from your bank as a CSV and upload them. We support most major bank CSV formats.
CardPicker categorizes your transactions (dining, groceries, travel, etc.) and calculates how much you'd earn with each card in our database based on actual reward rates.
See a ranked list of all 53+ cards, sorted by net annual value (rewards earned minus annual fee), so you know exactly which card is best for your spending pattern.
Yes. Your transaction data is processed in memory only — it is never written to a persistent database. Your session expires automatically after 1 hour, at which point all data is deleted. You can also delete your data immediately at any time from the results page. Bank connections use Plaid, which provides read-only access — we can never move money or make changes to your accounts. We do not sell or share your data.
Pretty accurate for estimating relative value across cards. Our database reflects current standard reward rates for each card. However, actual rewards can vary based on: promotional bonus categories (which rotate on some cards like Chase Freedom Flex), spending caps you've hit, sign-up bonuses (not included), and changes to card terms. We recalculate annually-normalized estimates based on your transaction history. Use the results as a guide, not a guarantee.
To give you a personalized recommendation, we need to know how you actually spend. Generic advice ("get a travel card!") ignores whether you spend more on dining, groceries, gas, or Amazon. Your specific spending mix determines which card wins for you. The bank connection or CSV upload is how we get that data — and it stays in your session only.
We currently support 53 credit cards:

Yes. CardPicker is completely free to use. We don't charge for recommendations. Some card links may be affiliate links in the future, but recommendations are always based purely on which card earns you the most — never on who pays us the most referral fee.
